John Summers

As a Director in the Firm’s Fund Management department, John manages the day-to-day operations of the Goodbody EIIS Funds.

His mission is always looking for opportunities to add and create value to Investee Companies, Clients and the Firm.

Having trained and qualified through the Firm, John has 8 years of active asset management experience, leading deals from cradle to grave and has completed several corporate finance assignments (debt/equity advisory).

The Goodbody EIIS Funds have raised and invested €85m in a range of Irish SMEs across a number of industries under the EII Scheme. With an equity investment model and being sector agnostic, John has gained a wealth of experience across a wide range of industries with a particular focus on Whiskey, Drinks and Childcare.

John has also invested and is a Director of Curraghmore Whiskey Limited.

John is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Birmingham. Outside the office, John is a WSET-certified aficionado of wines and spirits and his passion extends to music, where he holds a diploma in piano performance (ABRSM).
