Diarmaid Guthrie

Diarmaid has over 10 years’ experience in our Corporate Advisory department with extensive expertise in formal and informal restructurings together with independent business reviews. Diarmaid provides tailored business advise for businesses across a broad spectrum of industries.

Diarmaid leads our Forensic and Litigation Support service line and has been involved in a number of litigation support assignments in the past number of years such as forensic investigations, shareholder disputes and acting as expert witness in litigation matters.

He is also a licenced insolvency practitioner and has been appointed liquidator and process adviser to a number companies. Diarmaid has been involved in a number of advisory assignments in the past number of years. This has included undertaking a number of due diligence assignments on UK and Irish based companies on behalf of international lenders, Irish investors and international plcs.

Diarmaid also has international expertise where he spent 12 months on secondment in Cyprus providing advisory services to a number of lending institutions in Cyprus and setting up the Corporate Advisory team for the local Cypriot firm.

Diarmaid is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and holds a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from DCU together with a Diploma in Forensic Accounting and Investigation from Chartered Accountants Ireland. He is also a contributor to the Chartered Accountants Ireland publication, ‘A Practical Guide to Examinership’.
