FIBA Youth EuroBasket 2024

It’s finally here!

The much anticipated FIBA Youth EuroBasket 2024 tournaments kick off this week for the men’s and women’s under 18 Basketball Ireland squads. This is where all the hard work and dedication over the past 2 years has been working towards.

The under 18 men’s tournament starts July 26th in Skopje, North Macedonia with their squad well prepared after recent warm up games against Luxembourg. Squad member Adam Charles believes this year’s squad is even stronger than 2023’s group, so he feels the group are ready to compete at a high level.

The under 18 women’s tournament starts on August 2nd in Ploiesti, Romania. The squad just played two tough warm up games against Ukraine and forward Caoimhe Gilligan feels confident they can emulate or even surpass the 6th place finish in last year’s Euros.

Everyone at @Azets Ireland wishes both squads the very best of luck. We will be watching and supporting the players and coaches all the way through the tournaments.

We are delighted to partner with @Basketball Ireland to support their under 18 women’s and men’s academies on their incredible journeys to this point and we are so excited to watch them compete at these prestigious Youth EuroBasket tournaments.
